"I really want to love again..don't mind marrying a younger man'-Ara

Talking drummer Ara's marriage to her iceland based hubby packed up after 2 years (2009-2011). The single mother of one says she is ready for love and doesn't mind being with a younger guy .She told Punch
“When I meet the right person and fall in love, I will consider marriage. I really want to fall in love again. I don’t believe in marriage just for its sake. If a younger guy comes up to me, I don’t mind dating the person. I don’t mind marrying somebody who I am older than. I have spoken to a couple of people and they don’t see anything wrong with it. If the person has a mature mind and is committed, then it is not a big deal.”
When asked if she is not looking for somebody who she can control and manipulate, the singer said

“I am not that kind of person. I am the most submissive wife. I am ‘mumu’ for love. You can ask my ex, he can tell you. There was never a day I didn’t ask him what I should cook even though I was the breadwinner. I would always ask him what he wanted. And whatever he said, if we didn’t have it, I would jump on an okada and enter the market to go and buy the stuff. I am a hopeless lover,"
Ara revealed that she and her ex are still “good friends
” because, “we have a child together. My boy is six years already. He has remarried. I am not envious that he got married again. God forbid! When he calls me, I always ask him if his wife isn’t around. I would also ask him if his wife knows that I am not interested in him. I don’t know her and I don’t know her name. I wouldn’t want her to feel I want to take her husband again. So I tell him I hope the wife knows that I am not interested and that his calling me is just to find out about his son. I wouldn’t want to make any woman unhappy

BBAHotshots: Luis Wants To Leave The House

During the day’s exercise session, the housemates were heard discussing about Luis and his intentions to leave the big brother house. They discovered that Luis had slept outside the house and had ringed the bell in the morning signifying his intention to enter the diary room and subsequently leave the house.

JJ and Idris went to him and tried to convince him to reconsider his decision and not to give up. After talking to him, they walked out of the diary room together. Luis had earlier packed his bags making his fellow housemates more than sure that he wanted to leave the house. Idris had spent all morning trying to convince Luis not to leave the house telling him that his decision wad not a good course of action as leaving the house at this time was futile.

Alusa also chipped in by telling all the men in the Big Brother house that they need to lookout for each other making sure they avoid this kind of issues by being their brothers keeper just as they did for Luis. Luis seems to have calmed down as the urgency to leave seems to have reduced.

More so, Tayo has a somewhat unique phrase which he continually repeats during conversations with his fellow Hotshots. He has been heard repeatedly “Are you mad? ” during discussions with other housemates. Though he seemingly doesn’t mean it in a bad way has he says it in good faith, it however seems his repeated use of the phrase has rubbed off both positively and negatively on the housemates as some of the housemates find it amusing while others have challenged him as to his use of the phrase.

Worthy of remembrance is Big Brother Housemate Mzansi’s Mzamo who was used to saying “You get what I’m saying?” as a way of asserting his views and making sure that the person he is involved in the conversation with understands him. Tayo in the same spirit also seems to be using the phrase as a form of inquiry from people in a hilarious manner.

Meanwhile, Tayo seemed to be in top spirit all day as he sang and later joined his fellow housemates including Alusa, Idris, Macky2 and Mr.265 in the kitchen for breakfast. He seems to have toned down by the look of things with his fellow housemates enjoying being around him as he creates a fun filled atmosphere.

“Marriage is a burden, don’t go there” – Actress, Tina Mba

Nollywood Actress, Tina Mba, has advised celebrities who are not prepared to stay married not to venture into it.

While speaking as a celebrity guest on Jara recently, the Delta State-born Actress and single mother of two said “I have two lovely children. But what I know about marriage is that it is an institution laid down by God, so it is sacred. What I tell people is that if you can’t stay married, please, do not go into it.

“Marriage is a burden; it is a huge responsibility. If you are not ready for it, don’t go there. Marriage is not about having a lavish ceremony. But it is about you and what you truly feel and how you tend to make it work. What I am saying is that if you can’t keep it together, don’t venture into it. People marry for different reasons. If you are an actress, a wife and a mother, you should know your responsibility is more. Because you are married, you cannot go on a movie set and start giving excuses. You know you will be losing your jobs little by little. The directors understand, so they will be giving you slacks. You do not have to kiss and hug all the time.”

Synagogue disaster: T.B Joshua to testify before coroner November 5

Prophet Temitope Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, will on Nov. 5 appear before a coroner’s inquest investigating the recent collapse of its guest house.

The Lagos State Coroner, Mr Oyetade Komolafe, announced Joshua’s appearance on Friday at the resumption of the inquest at an Ikeja High Court.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the inquest was instituted under the Lagos State Coroner’s System Law No. 7 of 2007 for the purpose of unraveling the cause of the incident.

NAN recalls that no fewer than 115 persons were reportedly killed, with the majority being South Africans after the six-storey building collapsed on Sept. 12.

Komolafe said the physical appearance of the church’s founder was important to the inquest, adding that his lawyer, Mr Jude Nnadi (SAN), should advise him accordingly.

“The court has summoned him, let him come and tell us what he knows. He cannot sit over there and be sending words to us that he cannot come.

“The court has said that for the purpose of what we are doing that he should come over,” the coroner said.

He said the contractor in charge of the collapsed building and the witnesses of the Police would also testify on Nov. 5.

Komolafe also directed the church to provide the list of the people lodged at the collapsed building to the court at the next adjournment fixed for Oct. 28.

“We must expedite action on the issue of the bodies knowing full well that majority of them are not Nigerians.

“One of the most important thing for us is to identify these bodies,” he added.

Meanwhile, a Chief Operational Officer with the Lagos State Fire Service, Mr Musiliu Adebayo, has told the court that the building collapse was not caused by an explosion.

“The number of people rescued would not have been possible if there was an explosion before and immediately after the collapse,” Adebayo.

Also testifying, Mr Bamidele Oladiti, Zonal Head, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Ejigbo Area, said its officials helped to reduce human and vehicular traffic after the incident.

Speaking to newsmen after the hearing, Mr Louis Mnguni, the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, said the unfortunate incident would not affect the relationship between both countries.

Mnguni said the South African Government was putting plans in place to return the corpses of the victims to their relatives after the inquest.

Ronaldo determined to break Raul’s Champions League record ahead of Messi

Cristiano Ronaldo has said he has his sights on breaking Raul’s Champions League scoring record, after he notched up his 70th goal in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Portuguese superstar, who has never scored at Anfield in his previous five appearances, finished off a James Rodriguez pass with a fine half-volley in the 23rd minute.

He is now just one goal away from equalling Raul’s record, although Lionel Messi is also on 69 goals.

“I’m going to beat his record, whether now or another night,” Ronaldo said.

“Messi is very close too. It’s a team win, we have nine points so 75 per cent of the qualification is done.”

Speaking on the match and his first goal at Anfield, the 29-year-old said: “It was special. It was my first goal at Anfield and I feel very happy. Very proud. We knew before the game that Anfield is a difficult place, but we played fantastic – especially in the first half, and we deserved it.”
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TOP SCORERS

1. Raul (Real Madrid, Schalke) 71 goals

3. Lionel Messi (Barcelona) 69

Wenger insists matchwinner Podolski is not leaving Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has insisted that Lukas Podolski will not leave Arsenal.

The German striker scored in the 91st minute against Anderlecht, to complete an incredible comeback in the Champions League, having been summoned from the bench in the second half.

Podolski has previously complained about his lack of playing time, but Wenger has said that he still has an important role to play for the Gunners.

“We know Poldolski can always score. He is frustrated and I understand that of course,” Wenger admitted.

“But he’s important as well and he showed that tonight and he will be important in the coming months. It took him a while to get back to a good physical level [after the World Cup] and now he’s nearly there.

“He was never close to leaving in the summer. He has 115 caps for Germany that is not a coincidence, that shows you the quality.

“I think he is a guy you want to have the ball in the box. His shot is fantastic, his accuracy is great and he has very short back lift. He nearly scored before and I know when he comes on he can score.”

Stop putting pressure on me to get pregnant – Toke Makinwa

TV/Radio personality who got married to her long time boo, Maje Ayida in January, 2014, has warned Nigerians to stop pressuring her into pregnancy.

She took to twitter to talk about the pressure she’s receiving from folks about her not being pregnant many months after marriage, adding that “the babies would come in due season”

“You think the pressure as a single girl is bad, wait till you get married. You can’t sneeze without the preggo remark. Can my uterus breathe? Aunties call you and you can’t get three words in before the “ehn has it entered it talk” straight up. Even my mother went as far as showing up at my house, late at night with the “we have talk” business. Everyone just monitoring the uterus anyhow. A VLOG on this issue will come soon. Let my uterus breathe. A child will come in time. Stop the monitoring. “ she tweeted.
